How is Cypress Valley different from traditional nursing homes?
The main difference between a residential assisted living home and a nursing homes is the level of care a resident needs, receives, and the freedom the resident is allowed. It's finding that perfect balance of service, care and dignity that you and your loved one's deserve for the remainder of their stay.

What are the advantages staying in your Residential Assisted Living facility compared to a larger facility?

What are the visiting hours?
We have regular visiting hours from 9am-6pm, but you may come whenever you need to see your loved one. We just ask you call ahead to alert our caregivers of your arrival.

Are the bedrooms furnished or unfurnished?
Families usually request to furnish the bedroom themselves to customize their loved one's stay, but if you need additional furnishings, please contact our Manager, who will gladly arrange some furnishing for your move-in.

What activities does Cypress Valley offer?
We have multiple activities throughout the week, something for everyone. Every resident who is interested and willing to participate in the events, can let our staff know their wishes.
Be advised, we have Happy Hour every Friday at 2pm with a Charcuterie board, drinks, for the celebration for life!

What safety measure does Cypress Valley have to keep my loved one safe?
All doors have a control panel locking system, with each resident family member having their individual "Family Code" to get in the home.
Monitored security video inside and outside the home.
Call-button system the resident wears on their wrist, so they can call for assistance anywhere in the home.
Commercial-grade vinyl flooring, so residents will not trip over any bulky carpet when walking or needing more help using a wheelchair.
We have a back-up natural gas generator, in the event the power grip fails.

How do you customize the residents care?
Each resident goes through an extensive screening process before and after they move in. That process involves much preparation, open communication, support from the resident's family, friends, and medical providers. Our staff uses this information to set up a customized care plan for each resident. The care plan is updated every 12 months or sooner if the need arises , to ensure we meet and exceed the care of the resident and family.

Is Cypress Valley able to care for my loved one as they age?
Yes. We are an Aging in Place facility. We are able to care for your loved one as their needs progress, from ambulatory, to bed-bound. We provide all levels of care, including acute infections, change in cognitive status, and even up to end-of-life care.

Does Cypress Valley take care of Alzheimer's patients?
We take care of all dementia and memory care residents.

When can residents move into the home?
The home is currently under construction and anticipated "Open Door," date is April 20, 2023. If the date changes, those on the Waiting List who have put down a security deposit, will be informed and allowed to move in first.
